My Paris diaries (Part 1)

Hi everyone,
Hope, you are having great start of the week. As you already know I'm back to USA, and to be honest, I'm very happy about it. I know, many of you are waiting for some pictures from my Paris trip so I decided to publish a post about my Paris 6-day trip every Monday, so don't forget to come back on Mondays to see more pictures.

OK, now let's get started: It was beautiful February morning, when me and my 4 years old daughter landed at Paris CDG International airport and after we got all our suitcases, (and believe me, we had quite many LoL) we headed to the Taxi area to find one to go to Paris. Since we had many luggage it took us 10 minutes or so to get a minivan taxi (because most of the taxis were small cars) and few minutes later, we were on our way to Paris Marriott Champs Elysees hotel.
(One thing I want to mention here: a taxi driver didn't speak English at all, so I was glad I could speck French, and, they didn't take a credit card, only cash.)
My first impression was not so amazing, until we didn't reach Avenue des Champs Elysees.

Once we passed Arc de Triomph to get to Paris Marriott Champs Elysees hotel, I realized this was that city I've dreamed about from my early childhood.

The location of our hotel was amazing __ in the middle of the Avenue des Champs Elysees__ everything was within a walking distance: Arc de Triomph, Place de la Concorde, the Tuilerie Gardens, Louvre, Grand Palais, restaurants, shops..

After we checked-in, we rest for an hour and then went out for lunch. Since we had not slept all night, I decided not to look for some special place and waste too much time but just go to any nearest restaurant for lunch and come back to the hotel early so that we could sleep on time. So, I saw this Italian restaurant, Cafe di Roma, near our hotel, and just waked in without booking a table. I loved the interior, and the pizza was absolutely delicious, probably one of the tasty pizza I've ever had in my life, and I still remember the strong taste of their espresso.

The only thing I got disappointed was that they didn't take American Express card, so I ended up paying cash (that I didn't have too much, thinking I would just use a credit card).

After lunch, we walked around on avenue de Champs Elysees just to check out some shops, we found a nice supermarket Monoprix right next to our hotel where we got some snack (they took credit cards) and came back to the hotel early to get some good night sleep because I had a busy schedule for next day, but once I lay down in bed, I couldn't fall asleep for hours, I was so excited about being in such an amazing city, and couldn't wait to see what the next day would bring.

Now, let me finish here, (I don't want you to get bored with a long post) but I will continue next Monday, so don't forget to come back to find out about my second day (and one of the busiest days) of my Paris trip.
Wish you a wonderful day, everyone.
