Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua ultra-light skin perfecting sunscreen makeup Broad Spectrum SPF15 review

Happy Monday everyone, hope you all are doing great.
I know, I've been gone forever but I'm back and today I want to share with you my thoughts on this Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua ultra-light skin perfecting sunscreen makeup Broad Spectrum SPF15.
You may think it's Chanel, and everything is clear about the quality, but keep reading to find out whether it's worth to spend $48 on it.

As the label claims:
'The tiniest drop of this hybrid fluid creates a fresh, natural complexion. Skin looks refined and feels refreshed, creating an exquisite makeup experience.'

I got this Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua foundation in summer, when I was looking for a new lightweight foundation for my dry skin. Even though it didn't have SPF30 or up, I still decided to give it a try, thinking that I would wear my Chanel Le Blanc Light Creator Brightening Makeup Base with Broad Spectrum SPF40.
First of all, let me tell you: my plan didn't work__ this foundation looked terrible with my Chanel Le Blanc base __ heavy and cakey. On top of that, I chose this foundation in 22 Beige Rose, that appeared to be 4 shades darker than my skin tone and you can image how frastrating it could be to try to make my makeup looked as close to my skin tone as possible, every time I applyied it, especially around my neck area.

This Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua is ultra-light, almost watery in concistancy, so you have to shake the bottle before applying. I usually use my Lancome foundation brush and within a minute I set it with my finger (you can use a sponge as well). It dries down to a sheer sating glow that you will love at first, (it won't hide your skin imperfections though) but you won't be able to enjoy too long __ after 4 hours the T-zone becomes extremly oily (especially around nose) and all the pores on your face are fully accentuated.
This Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua may work better for oily skin but it is certainly not for my dry, sensitive skin. Especially that it contains alcohol and fragrance. And, did I mention that I'm talking about Chanel high-end makeup product with a price tag of $48?

Have you used this foundation yet? Did it work for you? Let me know in the comments below and have a wonderful day everyone.

  11. Noooooo! I love this foundation and it's one of the best for my dry skin! I apply it with my fingers though as I find it to look horrid when applied with a brush. I also don't like using a primer underneath it as I find most primers makes it look terrible but it's beautiful on it's own.

  14. Aw, man, I'm sorry it didn't hold up, especially for that price tag! It seems as though these high-end foundations can be a real hit or miss and it makes the whole testing process that much more daunting because of the price you pay to try! Thanks so much for sharing your honest thoughts with us, girlie, and I hope you're having a great week so far!

  19. Thats a shame. For 48$ and the name Chanel, you'd think quality is guaranteed. Welcome back babe. Have a great rest of the week.

  23. Some high-end foundations end up being so disappointing, it's always very frustrating! It's a shame that this foundation didn't work out for you, I have oily skin so perhaps it would work better for me? At the same time, I'd definitely need something that can give me proper coverage. I will probably pass on this one, so thank you for sharing your honest thoughts! <3
