Is it worth to go to Hollywood Walk of Fame while you are in California?

Happy Monday everyone,
Hope you had a wonderful weekend.
Have you walked in Hollywood Walk of Frame? If not , than let me share with you my experience.
You may remember, I went to Los Angeles in August and even though  it's been forever since I came back from my vacation, I thought it would be interesting to tell you guys what to expect from going to Hollywood Walk of frame. (In case you missed my Los Angeles vacation diaries, you can read Part 1 __ Here and Part 2 __ Here ).

After we went back to Los Angeles from Disneyland, Anaheim, we checked in the same J.W. Marriott hotel in downtown Los Angeles and got this quite spacious suit on 22d floor.

In the evening we decided to go to Hollywood Walk of Fame. It was nice to stroll and look down at the stars with the names whenever I got a chance (haha) because it was crowdy, just like any other
touristic place, people were taking pictures on their favorite Hollywood Star's Star.
Honestly, it was not easy to find my favorite stars, after all, there are more than 2500 stars in Hollywood Walk of Fame __ a lot of them with names of the people you probably know nothing about.
There were many fast food restaurants and bars, a few places we saw drunk people standing in front of the bar entrances that was basicly on the sidewalk where we had to walk somehow, and I felt uncomfortable walking with my 5-years old trying to find a way to pass those spots.
My daughter was very excited to see all those street performers and people, who were dressed up as popular movie or cartoon characters.

So, it was  OK to spend an hour to see those stars with the name of some of my favorite movie starts but I don't think I will need to go there again whenever I will be in Los Angeles.

  5. I really want to see the Walk of Fame, I agree though it doesn't seem like somewhere that requires repeat visits!

  6. I wanna go to LA so bad! I think just for the experience I'd go to the Hollywood Walk of Fame, simply because it'd be a shame not to. But I can see how it's not something one would do twice!

  8. Looks amazing! I live right next to the Walk of Fame and been there several times. Personally, I think it's too crowded/overrated so it's not somewhere I'd go frequently. But, it's nice to check it out once in a while! xo, sharon

  11. Nina,
Your pictures are very fun! I think it's good to visit a very touristy place like Hollywood one time and exactly once, just so you can see the commotion around it. But then never again - especially the hall of fame!

  12. Thank you so much for sharing this! I have a feeling that this is something on my list in LA that could easily get dropped in lieu of something else, as I am not a fan of crowds especially when people get pushy! It'd be neat to find some names, and watch the street performers though :)

  13. Great post! I remember going to see the Hollywood Walk of Fame on our first trip to LA / Hollywood. it wasn't as busy as I expected, but maybe because we went a little later at night. It was so cool to see such an iconic spot!

  16. Having lived in LA all my life, I can tell you that one place you should not go to is Hollywood blvd. Except if you want to go to Ghirardelli's. And their Forever 21 is pretty good. So is their Sephora. Ok and it is pretty cool to watch cirque du soleil at the Kodak theater. Or watch a disney Film at El Capitan. And the jack Sparrow look alike who's actually from israel is really really funny. Ok maybe it is a pretty cool place. Go on then, go!

  21. I went to Cali for the first time early this year and did the walk of fame. I think everyone should experience it at least once in their lifetime. I don't know if I'd go back the next time I'm in LA. I think there is so much more I'd rather see and do first. That said it wasn't a bad experience for us. We went at about 11am on a Tuesday and it wasn't stupid crazy. I don't know how I'd manage when it is brimming with tourists though. I think it would be very uncomfortable.

  26. I've never been to California before, so I've never been down the Hollywood Walk of Fame, but based off reading and seeing photos of your experience, it's not what I thought it was. I pictured it more quite for some reason and it looks a lot like Times Square, but a much more smaller scale. Thanks for sharing your experience with us, beauty, and I hope you have a great week ahead!

  29. This was so interesting! I didn't know they had 2500 stars! That's a lot! HaHaHa I bet it was hard to maneuver. It's probably the type of place you only want to go to once due to the hustle & bustle. So glad you experienced it though. Love the hotel where you stayed. Mariott has some nice hotels.
