Burberry Fresh Glow Compact - Luminous Foundation review

I've been planning to do a quick review of this Burberry Fresh Glow Compact - Luminous Foundation for a long time and finally the post is here. I got this Burberry foundation before I went to Italy because I didn't want to take with me Givenchy loose powder.
As the label claims this is a  "dual-finish compact foundation with adjustable coverage for a flawless glow. This lightweight, smooth, powder foundation helps to even out skin tone while it minimizes the appearance of imperfections. Featuring a sponge applicator that can be used dry for medium coverage to wetto achieve higher coverage, this Burberry foundation create an effortless-looking glow."

What I like about this Burberry Fresh Glow Compact - Luminous Foundation

I like that it's formulated without Parabens, Sulfates and Phthalates.
It doesn't irritate my dry, sensitive skin.
It applies smoothly.

What I don't like about this Burberry Fresh Glow Compact - Luminous Foundation
It's not as lightweight as I prefer
It looks heavy on my dry skin, over my liquid foundation
It looks caky after 6-7 hours

So, how I use this foundation:
I got is pressed powder 1 shade darker then my skin tone, so I apply it under my eyes to set my concealer and I have to recognize that it works perfectly for that purpose, it makes undereye makeup look very natural and it doesn't let the concealer crease.

If you are looking for a medium to full coverage pressed powder , you may enjoy wearing this one but if you prefer extra lightweight powder, you will not be happy about this Burberry Fresh Glow Compact.

Have you tried this pressed powder yet? let me know how you liked it.
Wish you all a fabulous day.

  2. does it cause concealer to darken at all when dried? I find most powders do that which is why I always stay clear of coloured powders for the under eye area. Sounds like a good powder though!

    1. I didn't notice that with this powder Pam. I think this darker than my skin shade, works kinda color corrector for me (if that makes sense). It can't brighten up my under eye area, since it's darker shade, but it makes it look more natural and I like that. But I would not buy this powder just for using under eye makeup, it's too expensive for that.

  5. Well, Nina, after your review I won't buy the Burberry powder. I like lightweight and not cakey, so, that is not for me, although it doesn't irritate the skin. Loved the review, it really helped me to decide on this foundation/powder - or not :) Hope you have a beautiful day!

  6. Thank you for your honest review on this, Nina! I had my eyes oaths too but wasn't sure if it'll be too heavy on my skin and I will be giving this a pass.

  18. It's a shame the formula is cakey and it feels heavy on your skin as it certainly looks pretty in the packaging!
